sWaN laKE!!!
Today as a class we went to see the Royal New Zealand ballet perform Swan Lake. The other senior classes and the middle school went aswell Swan Lake tells the story of Odette, a beautiful woman who, like many other women is under a curse to turn into a swan during the daytime. The spell cannot be broken until a man swears his love for one of the women. A prince falls in love with Odette and invites her to his birthday celebrations. The evil person who cast the spell does not want it to be broken and he makes a replica of Odette named Odile to go to the party. I will not tell you what happens at the end because you can go and see for yourself.

Only 24 days till *sTaGEcHAlLenGE*
Hello, me again. Here's an update on whats up. We are still practising for stage challenge which is now less than four weeks away!!! Everyone is rehearsing the steps 24/7 and the main cast members are working overtime. Let's not forget the crew though! Without them our dance would no longer be. A shout out to those who will not be seen by three thousand people but who should be aknowledged all the same. Thanks guys! If you saw the link on my first blog I hope you went onto howrse. It is the best website ever. Thanks to my horse mad best friend Amber in Westport for telling me about the sight. I gotta go now.

The senior year 7 and 8 students at Thorndon School have been learning about dance and have entered supre stage challenge. We will be performing at the tsb bank arena on the 21st of June. The theme of our dance is the controversial section 59, 'anti smacking bill' put into play by Green Party MP Sue Bradford. You may know that in the past week or so this bill was passed with a large majority of about 113-8. When we were creating the dance however, it had not yet been decided if the bill was to be made law. For this reason our dance has no so called 'solution'. If you have any comments, criticisms or questions about my blog please post them.
