My Goals

During my 3-way conference (see my last blog) I set two goals for myself to pursue throughout the year. My first goal is to get better at time management. I plan to do this by making a schedule and sticking to it next time we have an inquiry project. My second goal is to get faster at running the large block around our school. For this goal I plan to knock thirty seconds off my current time.

I gotsta go! By the way, check out my updated profile, and leave me some comments about my blog!

3 way conference

At the moment we are having our three way conferences. It is where you your parents and the teacher have an interview so you can show your parents your favourite work. Mine was last Tuesday and it went just like it was supposed to. In it you disuss your strengths and weaknesses with your parents. You also set goals to pursue through out the rest of the year. The aim is to complete these goals by the end of the year.

See you later!

sWaN laKE!!!

Today as a class we went to see the Royal New Zealand ballet perform Swan Lake. The other senior classes and the middle school went aswell Swan Lake tells the story of Odette, a beautiful woman who, like many other women is under a curse to turn into a swan during the daytime. The spell cannot be broken until a man swears his love for one of the women. A prince falls in love with Odette and invites her to his birthday celebrations. The evil person who cast the spell does not want it to be broken and he makes a replica of Odette named Odile to go to the party. I will not tell you what happens at the end because you can go and see for yourself.

*sTaGEchAlLEnGe*

The senior year 7 and 8 students at Thorndon School have been learning about dance and have entered supre stage challenge. We will be performing at the tsb bank arena on the 21st of June. The theme of our dance is the controversial section 59, 'anti smacking bill' put into play by Green Party MP Sue Bradford. You may know that in the past week or so this bill was passed with a large majority of about 113-8. When we were creating the dance however, it had not yet been decided if the bill was to be made law. For this reason our dance has no so called 'solution'. If you have any comments, criticisms or questions about my blog please post them.
